-
Is below 175% of the Federal Poverty Level, and
-
Is experiencing a heating-related emergency
The program serves residents in Champaign, Delaware, Logan, Madison, Shelby, and Union counties.
What to Bring to Your Appointment
Applicants should be prepared with:
-
Proof of income for the past 30 days
-
Most recent heating and electric bills
-
Birth dates and Social Security numbers for household members
-
Proof of disability, if applicable
-
Proof of citizenship or household documentation
Additional guidance is available for households with seasonal or self-employment income.
Schedule an Appointment
Residents are encouraged to call their local county office to schedule an appointment as soon as possible. Assistance is limited, and early scheduling helps ensure support when it’s needed most.
No one should have to choose between warmth and other necessities. If you or someone you know may qualify, please share this information and reach out for help this winter.
